I appreciate that it's confusing upon first glance, but the answer simply cannot and should not be 2. If this were the case, math would be an ambiguous study.
It might become more apparent with the equation:
48/2(9+3)(1+4)+33-47/3(sin(45))
Surely we should not interpret everything following the first division symbol as belonging in the denominator, including an additional fraction. As Wolfram Alpha interpreted, I intended for my equation to be read as:
280700
Thank you!
Division should be written as a fraction "_" or ( ... )^-1. Nobody with maths skills beyond that of a ten year old should be using "/". This question is using this notation only because MR forums aren't good for writing equations. We must think of this in our heads as being a fraction, and ask how it would be written, and your's makes the most sense.

Yeah a 1024 x 1024 icon is amazing considering I would bet a significant amount of 1024 x 768 monitors are still being used. Imagine not being able to view an icon in its entirety on a five-year-old monitor!
Indeed they are, and still being sold today.
They are called iPad's ;)
Love BirdsFunny to see you are basing a $4000 computer purchase on a $79 piece of crap-KEA furniture - LOL. I'm with you on Yea Apple!
Nothing wrong with a good ol' bit of Ikea furniture...as long as you stick with the higher quality (I.E non particle board) stuff they are decent...minus the assembly instructions...they should be burnt!

Doesn't matter. I'm an 'ignorant' consumer.
Some very cute love birdsThe iBook is a close also ran IMHO. Given the comments here there is a desire for something the size of the 10" Sony sub-notebook that would give users the option of a touch screen and keyboard. In particular, if it were very near or under the $1000 price point.
Perhaps it helps to think of the tablet as an iPod video with optional KB & mouse? Or a mini iMac with a battery. Or maybe even iTV to go! :p
I think the market for a well-executed device like this is much larger than one might think, particularly after the last time I flew long distance in coach and saw lots of folks trying to watch DVDs on their 15" Windows notebooks and trying to balance them on their laps partially open to as to not interfere with the seatback in front of them.

Birds Love Birds.I will gladly wait a few more months if I get some awesome new features (For the love of all that is right, give me a new notification system).
I get far more excited not for the new OS announcements than the new hardware.
Colorful Love Birds ImagesFinally. took apple long enough.
Before I knew a lot about smartphones I used to think that the Samsung Galazy S was an iphone 3G. The industrial design looks just like the iphone.
The grid of icons and the dock is also a copy.
if the phone didn't say Samsung it would be a KIRF.
The have the Big Mac, We've got the Big Mic. Their buns have seeds our buns have no Seeds. They have the golden arches, we've got the Golden Arcs.
Bunch of copycats.

I like Steves sense of brevity.
Perhaps if people bothered to look up some info on what they were talking about before they went off half-cocked about the latest hyped paranoia...

the iOS rly needs a revamp, its getting really boring and dated after owning 3 generations. where r the damn widgets still and what use does lockscreen have if u cant add anything (jailbreak excluded)
oh and get rid of that glass back ... what fool thought its a good idea. mine is sooo scratched but at least not yet shattered like so many others ik
next phone might be a android after all
What are you people doing to scratch your phones so much? I don't use a case with my iPhone 4, carry it in my pocket (sometimes with my car keys) and there's not a noticeable scratch on the front or back.

After reading people's thoughts about it, without a calculator/computer doing the calculation your answer with be based off of which method you use to follow the order of operations.

Inverted scroll and no lights on appications running can be turned on in system settings.
Sure, I know. It's just plain stupid default-settings if you ask me.
I can't imagine this is a better default setting for new users.

What are the uses for this MobileMe? Why would I use / need it?
I have used Macs since they came into existence, and I have owned several of them the past 20 years. But I have not used either dotMac or MobileMe.
Only serious replies, please.
If you have multiple Macs/iPhones Mobileme is wonderful for keeping things in sync. Not just contacts, calendars and bookmarks but everything from system prefers to dock items and keychains.
It's easy to locate your iPod Touch/iPhone or iPad with the "Find my device" feature and you have backup and remote access features as well.
Then of course you have the web space (integration is easy with iWeb) and photo galleries.
The primary detractors of MobileMe boil down to a few common groups.
1. Free - They don't want to pay
2. Limited scope - MobileMe only interests them in a few areas
3. Wedded to another service - Dropbox, Gmail/Google etc
4. Negative - "MobileMe sucks because my mail was slow one day"
In a nutshell of course. Everyone's opinion is valid for them but for me personally I find mobile me worth the $6 a month I pay (real world pricing from Amazon.com)
For me it's simple..skip a latte a couple of times or avoid fast food one day out the month and MobileMe is paid for.
It is sad to have to wait till September... I wanted to show my family my MBP since they've never though of using a Mac until me
Excellent. Now it's time to wait for the sub-$2000 "Pro" desktop announcement. There's a suspicious gap in their lineup. Mac Pro Cube (http://macprocube.com), perhaps?
Core 2 Duo (Merom/Conroe) was conspicuosly absent from this Keynote.
I too hope when the consumer lineup gets Core 2 Duo that they'll fill this gap with either a high end consumer machine or a low end pro.

And yet the entire Android platform generates less revenue in a year than iTunes does in a single quarter.
Thats because Android users want everything for free. Its so easy to "aquire" apps for your Android device. Why pay? If I was a developer I would stay away from the Android Market. The App Store is where the money is at.

Suction mounts are magnets for thieves. They leave a circular mark on the windshield that says "break into my car - I have a GPS unit for you to steal!". The thief will be very annoyed when they just find the Tom-Tom mount - until they figure out that they sell for > $100 LOL They will undoubtedly steal other stuff and break your window in the process.
I prefer the friction mounts that just sit on your dashboard and fit easily into the glove box. They are much more stealthy, and work great. Mine never slips or slides around. This is the one I use for my Garmin Nuvi:
http://www.buy.com/prod/garmin-010-10908-00-portable-friction-mount-garmin-portable-friction/q/loc/111/204297424.html
Is there something like that for the iPhone? If so, I would like to buy one.
*edit* I did a web search and found that Arkon sells a general purpose friction mount that could most likely be used with the Tom-Tom mount:
http://www.arkon.com/weighted_friction_dash_mount.php
They also sell a mount designed for the iPhone.
